THE WOODWORKS company was established in 1986. In (1970), and at the age of twenty three the founder attempted to work on his first piece of furniture to be refinished. It was one of those big flat top school desks for his personal use. After completing the desk he began to get requests to work on projects for friends.
Through the years he would work on many projects, and he began to experiment with many different finishes.
Working in another field for years it was time for a change. He began to receive so much furniture work, that he quit his old job and began working with furniture full time.
This was much more creative and rewarding for him. At first he began restoring antiques, then moving to kitchen cabinets, interiors, and refinishing newer 60's & 70's furniture.
Present day, The Woodworks is an upscale professional company. We specialize in refinishing and restoring antiques, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and interiors...
Why tear out your kitchen if the wood cabinetry is good? We will restore that old tired wood finish to look new again; by stripping that old finish off, sanding and staining, lacquering it to show off the wood that is already there for thousands of dollars less than re-facing or replacing it. We also do front doors and interior doors.
We strip everything by hand. No harmful dipping... We color match clear wood stains. You can change the color if you desire within the range that the base wood can be changed. We also do solid color lacquers.
Example: If you have a color fan from Dunn Edwards, Pratt & Lambert etc., we can have that color matched in lacquer.
